LASA High School modernization
The project
A $21.3 million building systems replacement at the Liberal Arts and Science Academy, 1012 Arthur Stiles Road in Austin, registered with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation under project number TABS2026028483. The scope as filed is roof repairs and replacements, HVAC repairs and replacements, and approximately 400 sq/ft of interior renovation. The work window runs June 1, 2027 through September 1, 2028.
The 400 sq/ft interior figure is what triggered state accessibility registration. It is not the size of the project. Read the filing as a whole-campus systems replacement with a small interior component attached.
In entitlement. The rail reads off the record: state or local building paperwork has been filed. Steps to the left shown ‘prior to tracking’ happened before The Scout began watching this project; we did not witness them.
Why it matters
This is the second Austin ISD campus to file in three days. Wooldridge Elementary registered a $51,150,000 City of Austin permit on 2026-08-19 against a $38,918,000 figure on the district’s own bond page, with Joeris General Contractors on the permit and Core Construction on the bond page.
Two campuses is not a pattern. But two campuses inside one week, out of the largest bond program in district history, is the point at which the program becomes the unit of analysis rather than the school. The Scout is now tracking the 2022 bond campus by campus, and this record is the second entry.
What is a Scout Project Dossier, and why should I care?
Because we watch it until it stops producing a record. Every filing, every permit, everyone named on them – with phone numbers, the day they appear. This project is at Entitlement; the rest arrives as it moves.
$29 buys the file as it stands. A subscription buys everything it becomes.
The Scout – Austin Region. This record accumulates: it records the changes as the project moves, and never rewrites what came before.
